In this new normality, our organization has demonstrated that we have changed our habits and safety protocols in a short time.
To get our company back to plant operations, our crisis committee team was able to develop a plan and design our protocol according to our production plants' needs to guarantee the protection of all employees.
Some of the important issues and areas of compliance with the protocol are as follows:
- Staff transportation in buses to the company: use of face shields and plastic seat dividers; when boarding the bus, disinfection with hand sanitizer and audits of own- and third-party transportation.
- Entrance to the facilities: all staff washes their hands in the disinfection tunnel. We continue the disinfection with hand sanitizer, temperature control, and new mask distribution.
- Lunch: distance, disinfection of incoming meals, hand washing of all staff and audits of the food provider are complied.
- Follow-up of possible infected people: constant serological or rapid testing of all staff, depending on the symptoms they have, the level of risk to which they are exposed or new staff entering.
- Follow-up and monitoring of infected staff: a fundamental part of avoiding future complications when contracting the disease.
- Cleaning and disinfection of transportation units and areas: busses are continuously disinfected, and the safety staff makes inspections to verify cleanliness, plastic seat dividers, etc. Plant areas are also disinfected with UV machines and air purifiers. Sanitation staff carries out spray disinfection in the administrative offices every day.
- Campaigns: some of the campaigns carried out so far are influenza vaccination, 2 Covid-19 rapid testing campaigns for all staff who are negative, disinfection of employees' houses, a campaign with other companies to disinfect roads and sidewalks in the city of Paita.
- Home visits: are made to the employee who has severe symptoms. The safety, and the health and welfare staff go to the employee’s home, provide a prevention kit containing an oximeter for daily and constant monitoring of the oxygen level, and a box of masks to protect their family members. These visits are intended to check on staff suffering from crisis or hopelessness so that mental health care is also treated.
At Coinrefri, taking care of our employees is a priority, so we are committed to the strict compliance of the protocols and social welfare. Together we can make it!
